Astrometrics pinpointing skill takes this annoyance out. just straight out. Also, err on the side of having too much overlap rather than not enough. I had the best results when all my probes could see each other.

Hmmm. When I follow the instructions it works, so i'm not sure where you're going wrong or what overview you are using BUT.. rightclick in the tab and load overview profiles and load one that is set up for combat? That tab was probably defaulting...

You pretty much nailed it. You could also use one for anonymity or to haul things for you while your corp is wardecced or something. Having skill points scattered all over the place as your interests shift is normal and fine.

I wasn't even a slave. There are plenty of people with Matar blood and features living free as Amarr citizens, thanks to the wisdom of the Reclamation, and terrorists on a smash and grab invasion aren't always careful.
